Our God is Faithful - March 3, 2008
Cliff Pash
Mar 3, 2008
What a wonderful God we serve! I know that we say this often, but it really is true and I am feeling amazed all over again. In 1 Kgs 8:59-60, Solomon prays that God would uphold the cause of himself and all of Israel so that every tribe and tongue would come to know Him as the Lord and that there is no other. The word UPHOLD is the word that is coming alive to me these days. Uphold might mean to establish, protect, defend.
God will establish you and your name through the use of the Divine Power, Divine Authority and Divine Glory that comes only from heaven. God will defend you, protect you, and establish you when your purpose is God’s purpose.
God will make your name GREAT when you are seeing God’s purposes in everything you do. We are asked to establish the very Honor of God and the Reputation of God on the earth! The Purpose is always that those who do NOT know God will come to KNOW Him as God.
Certain scriptures that seem to have light shining upon them are these. The world will know that God sent Jesus by the way that we love each other. When we fight and hold judgments towards each other, the world does not care about Jesus. Furthermore, James writes that this is the pure and undefiled religion: Taking care of the widows and the orphans.
WHAT IS HAPPENING in the area around the Islamic village of Nawansega is nothing short of miraculous! The name of God is being made great in an area that extends more than two hours in every direction from the Advancing The Kingdom Ministry Base and Christ Church.
People drive for two hours to this little village (Malaba), people ride their bicycles for two hours from another town (Bugiri), children walk for more than 5 hours from a far village to come and sing at this place. At times I am just overwhelmed and tears can only come to my eyes. No man can do this. It is God establishing His own reputation through the people who have agreed to be faithful to God.
They come because they want to be set free from the evil spirits that have controlled this region for generations. Muslims tell other Muslims to come to the born agains for prayer. Muslims come to ask who my witch doctors are because we have a power in our prayers that they do not have. Muslims ask why God seems to answer the prayers of our team members in ways that do not happen when they pray! Muslim men ask our women to pray for them that they might know God in the way that we teach.
Last Saturday, we had 220 at a small crusade in a neighboring village. Last Sunday there were over 219 in church. Of course there were many first time salvations and healings from the past week as there are every week.
The wife and child of our local Islamic political chairman were healed in the past week, the daughter had a tumor on her throat and was scheduled for some kind of surgery but God healed her and the tumor is gone! This is bigger than it sounds for it was this Islamic Local Chairman I who was opposing us in October of 2007. This man actually came to one of our meetings one week ago with a bible in his hands and wants to learn more of this gospel of Jesus Christ. God is demonstrating His character every day in this place.
Next week, I will have two former sheiks stand with me to minister in our villages. One of them formerly was over 5 mosques, the other one is from Saudia Arabia and Dubai before he came to Africa. We are expecting nothing short of the miraculous from these meetings.
The good news keeps coming. BRYAN MOHR, nephew of Larry Mohr, is returning to Uganda to be with us for the next 9 months. He will arrive in two weeks and has committed to serve with us here and to be trained and become disciplined in this Gospel of the Kingdom that we see Jesus preaching.
God is near, His authority, power and glory is near so repent and believe the Good News. Believe that God rewards those who surrender everything to the King, who come to the King as a small child, as one who carries no Injustice, no Unforgiveness, no stain on their conscious for it is these who can serve God in the way He intended, to worship Him with the freedom of a small child.
Please pray for Bryan Mohr as he comes to serve, please consider sending him a gift through Advancing The Kingdom so sustain him while he is here. He will need your help.
I ALMOST FORGOT TO GIVE YOU A REPORT ON THE CHILDREN. There are currently 12 children living at the ATK Mission Base. They range in age from 4 years to 16 years. One is lame, one has an extreme spinal problem. These children are loving God and He is loving them.
The entire community is amazed at what God is doing on the inside of these children. The ones that nobody thought could do anything are leading songs of praise and are demonstrating that they are just as capable of doing anything that other children are. My problem: I am having too much fun with them.
We still need some sponsorship for a couple children and we hope to increase the number over the next weeks. Would you consider sponsoring a child?
Pastor Paul Taylor and a team from the Mustard Seed Church are planning to be here in Uganda for the second half of April. We are so looking forward to their being here.
May God bless them with the finances needed for this trip for He is creating for Himself a people who will demonstrate to the world that He is God and there is no other. Those that are coming will be greatly blessed and they will be greatly humbled by the greatness of our God.
Next time I will update you on our Kitale Mission Base in Kenya.
God bless each of you. May you find that Secret Place with the Most High God, that place of oneness and purity and peace. May God become so great in your life that you have no time nor desire for any conflict nor anything that keeps your from that Diving Presence. AMEN

The Hard Work is Yielding Tremendous Success with both Muslims and Discipled Ones
Monday Larry preached at Evangel Church in Jinja, Uganda. He preached a tremendous message! I’m his nephew, so I have seen him speak many times, but he really flowed eloquently and with power in this service.
He spoke about the necessity to have good character, not just spiritual “power” gifts. Larry’s main point was from the book of James, “Where there is envy and strife, there is confusion and every evil thing.” If a person really meditates on this scripture, he or she will be militant against envy and strife. Larry said, “When someone wants to be ‘number one’ in church leadership to the point of tearing other people down, there will be an open door for evil forces to work.”
Cliff finished the service powerfully with a message about salvation. But not salvation as we normally think. Cliff spoke of salvation from anything in the past that prevents us from becoming all that God wants us to be. He said, “If you’ve been hurt in the past, and as a result say, ‘I will never trust anyone again’, you need salvation from from that vow!.”
Many people came forward for prayer. Some were slain in the spirit. One man, who did not come forward, manifested “something”, so I went into the seating and prayed over him until peace came over him.
Larry and I are leaving Uganda tomorrow, so I want to write a few closing thoughts:
First, Cliff and the ATK team are working tremendously hard day after day. Larry and I have been doing are best to keep up, but it has been difficult. I was really impressed by the dedication and work ethic of the entire ATK team.
Second, ATK is breaking ground in Muslim villages that is probably unprecedented in this region of Africa. Listen to this. The sheik (that is the head leader) of the Muslim mosque, along with one of his assistants, attended our entire church service in Nawansega.
I am a firsthand witness. I was in the service while they were there. They attended because they wanted to hear more of the teachings of Cliff. That is amazing!
And if there are any doubters about the success ATK is having in Muslim villages, please come talk to Larry and I about what we witnessed; even better, come visit Uganda and see for yourself.
Thirdly, I am amazed at how Cliff has raised-up so many young people. Cliff preaches the message of raising-up the little people. He practices what he preaches. What a great team! What an anointed team! Sarah, Harriet, Madiinah, Rajab, and Sherif are each an amazing story. And there are many more breaking forth.
There is something innate in the human nature that likes to cheer for the underdog. Cliff has taken, for example, Madiinah, whose pastor barely knew her, and has developed her into a tremendous leader – just recently ordained by the Churches of North America.
Lastly, I believe that ATK has the potential to change entire regions of Uganda and surrounding countries. There is a model in place that is working.
The orphanage is such a blessing to the children. The orphanage is true and undefiled religion. During some of the door-to-door (uh, hut-to-hut?) outreaches in the villages, I heard many requests for ATK to provide schooling for their children. To be direct, there are many, many needs in these desperately poor villages in Uganda.
ATK needs your support and prayers because the poor and needy Africans need your support and prayers. ATK is all about blessing the people. It was so good for me to witness the wonderful fruit firsthand.
We will be posting photos and some video clips soon. We will inform you when that happens.

Developing Disciples: The Fruit that Remains
Firstly, I am joyful to report that Madiinah's daughter Sondra’s health is well. She was battling malaria. Thank you for your prayers.
Sunday morning Larry prayed about what to share at the Lugazi Miracle Center: “I simply wanted to give away what the Father wanted to impart to the people. When we started the service it began to rain. It rained harder than I have ever seen, so I believed God was telling me He wanted to pour out His Spirit like a down pour.
"I shared a Kingdom message and the power went out so I cut short the message and began to walk among the people. The Lord pointed out about fear and unforgiveness and I called the people to come forward for deliverance from those bondages. To my surprise, 300-400 people came forward.
"Now, how do you pray for that many people? I couldn’t believe the response. The pastor, Hudson Suubi, and I walked among the people and prayed and prophesied to many people. Praise God, the Kingdom of God came near the people to set them free!”
Sunday I witnessed the ordination of Rajab and Madiinah. They are now officially ordained by the Churches of North America. The ceremony involved speeches by family members, pastors, and, of course, Cliff. Cliff prophetically prayed over Rajab and Madiinah.
Then, Cliff, Rajab, and Madiinah cut a beautiful cake together. Food and celebration followed. Cliff sprayed some foam stuff throughout the crowd. The people loved it. It was a joyful day.
I really want to stress to all the readers that Cliff has done an incredible job of raising-up some “nameless, faceless” young people. It is one thing for a ministry to travel to and fro with good sermons. It is a far more difficult and – I believe – a Scriptural thing to develop and multiply disciples. Cliff is doing an amazing job of finding gold in people, and bringing it out.
Saturday afternoon a group of ATK team members battled with an extremely demonized young lady. There were multiple demons oppressing this woman. It took the team nearly four hours to deal with the situation.
Sometimes I try to create formulas or systems to deal with the battles that I encounter in this life. I am discovering that spiritual realities cannot be contained within human “boxes”.
Why did it take so long to cast out the demons that were resident in this young lady? I now see that is the wrong question to ask. We simply need to persevere and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us in every situation.
I believe this truth can frustrate the mind of man. The human intellect wants to rely on itself instead of having to rely on the Spirit, moment by moment.
There are so many Christian books available today. Most of these books provide information that appeal to the mind. I sometimes think that if I read all the right books, I will find all the “keys” of the kingdom. Books may enlighten us in some areas - I am not trying to condemn Christian books - but they cannot deliver all the keys to us. How could someone sell a book that had as its theme, “The Anointing cannot be found in a book.”?
ATK has been teaching me that I can have confidence that I will be properly equipped by God to handle every situation… if I abide in the secret place of the Most High. If I can find that place of intimacy with the King, the King will be with me. I will have the same authority as Jesus when I am holding His hand. But, I must find the King and walk with Him.
I have a responsibility. Cliff has been teaching these truths everywhere, and I can see that it is bearing fruit in those he is discipling. The young people Cliff is raising-up are really amazing: Sarah, Rajab, Sheriff, Madiinah, Harriet, Fred, Margaret, Loice Bette, Fatuma and others.
As a result of witnessing a number of deliverances from demonic spirits, and witnessing many baptisms of the Holy Spirit while in Uganda, I have also discovered that the “moving of the Spirit” doesn’t always look pretty and neat. I shouldn’t reject what the Spirit is doing because I think it should look differently.
He is God; I am not. Sometimes medical surgery is really ugly. There is a lot of blood and guts involved. Most people don’t like to watch a surgery because it makes their stomachs turn; but, we all know that the result of a successful surgery is health.
Bye the same standard, what should it look like as a person is being set free from deep issues of unforgiveness or from the terrible shame and betrayal that controls so many people's lives? The answer can only be "Who Cares!"
Good fruit is the evidence of the work of God. I’m continuing to see wonderful fruit here in Uganda. It will be fruit that remains long after Larry and I are gone. This fruit will continue to bear fruit through these young people long after Cliff has departed.

Yesterday evening sister Loice from Kenya shared a testimony during the service. Four years ago, she was in a taxi that was carrying 12 people. (In Africa a taxi is a passenger van that somehow manages to seat – cram - up to 20 persons. And as the saying goes “There’s always room for one more.”). The taxi that was transporting Loice got into an accident. Only Loice and another person survived. The other 10 were killed.
She knew that God had saved her life for a purpose, but did not know what the purpose was. When she met Cliff and the ATK ministry team during the 50 days conference in 2007 she was confronted in her heart about unforgiveness. A woman had stolen 120,000 Kenyan (something like $1,800) from her while she was recuperating in the hospital. That is a lot of money for a Kenyan, perhaps a life savings.
Cliff gave a message about blessing your enemies. So when the lady who stole the money was in great need, Loice gave more money to this woman. Loice’s unforgiveness was removed, and she led that woman to know God. To make a long story short, Loice is now doing things for the kingdom of God that she never thought she could do. It is a result of ATK’s message of the kingdom.
Today I went with an ATK team into a neighboring village of Nawesega. One of the core messages of ATK is that of equipping the “little people” to do the works of the kingdom. Today I got to be one of the little people in a group with five others.
We witnessed to a number of Muslim homes and prayed for them… when they allowed us to do so. Some of the devout Muslims would not allow us to pray for them. But some of these same “devout” Muslims would let us pray for their demonized children! It sounds really crazy, but I’m telling you what I saw.
Many Muslims in these villages have shrines on their property that they use to worship ancestral spirits - demons. As a result, there are many who become demonized and sick in their families. But, some are too holy and religious to let us pray for them! It really doesn’t make sense. Like Cliff says, “According to Psalm 115 those who worship idols become like them – having eyes, but not able to see.”
During a visitation to one of these Muslim homes we were able to begin to witness to a group of about 15 people. Immediately one of the girls – probably 15 years old – began to laugh and mock us. What she was doing was mocking the ambassadors of the kingdom, just as Goliath mocked the Israelites.
Brother Felix spoke to this girl, “Today God is going to do something to you!” This girl jumped up and manifested wildly. She had a demon. Brother Fred ran and grabbed her. Loice also got a hold of her. She was shaking and jerking and then frozen on the ground. Fred and Loice took her into a hut to completely deliver her while the rest of us witnessed and prayed for the others.
The ATK team of little people brought the deliverance of the kingdom to this Muslim girl. For David to slay Goliath he simply had to believe that he served the Most High God and act upon that knowledge.
A key point of tonight’s message was God’s purposes for the church. In Kenya, as most know, there is much fighting and chaos due to the political situation. God is awakening church leadership in Kenya to rise-up and be forceful, rather than passive, in bringing a message of surenduring to the purposes of God and never profaning His name or ruining His reputation.
Many pastors have been reminded of some of Cliff’s messages that he previously spoke in Kenya. Although they did not take those messages and apply them, they are remembering them. These messages were of a coming time of tribulation between peoples in Kenya, first because of issues relating to the Mau Mau revolt in the 1950's and secondly because of the rise of this radical form of Islam.
The book of James says that we should not only be hearers of the word, but also doers. The current circumstances in Kenya have served as a wake-up call to many leaders there. Radical Muslim teaching is infiltrating parts of Kenya as a result of the destabilization and must be combated with the truth of the kingdom.
I want to conclude this report by saying that I have never seen a group of so many young people who are carrying the anointing of heaven with such power and boldness as I have here in Uganda with the ATK team.
Many people are being slain in the spirit and healed of physical, spiritual and emotional difficulties in every meeting. Demons are being cast out.
People are learning who God is, and how to have relationship with Him. The relationship with God results in taking His glory to bless others.
ATK is doing “the stuff of God”, and they are working tremendously hard in very tough conditions. ATK is great soil to sow into.

Cliff preached at Evangel Church in Jinja, Uganda on Tuesday. The church structure was very large – could seat around 1000 – and had no side walls such that it was completely open to the outside air. The church’s electric generator was not in operation, so Cliff had to shout at the top of his voice as he preached so that all could hear.
The leadership of Evangel was surprised that Cliff could preach with such a monstrous voice. For those of us that know Cliff, we were not so surprised. There was a tremendous reception to the message as Larry called the people forward for prayer.
There were so many people that came forward that we could not physically get to all the people in the crowd. Larry was trying to pray for some in the middle of the crowd and fell off the stage! To my surprise he landed on his feet despite the 5 feet drop-off. I told him that I thought he was trying to body-surf. On a serious note, the Holy Spirit touched the people as the ATK team prayed.
Tuesday afternoon I began to feel seriously ill. I had a fever and was nauseous. Some became concerned, including me. I knew that I was supposed to go with Cliff and Larry to a house church in Jinja in the evening. I read Psalm 103 and told the Lord that I would trust Him.
We arrived at the house church, which became packed with around 30 young people, and began to worship the Lord. As I gazed on the Lord and His beauty, the sickness washed away from me. Cliff said only a few words (believe it or not
), then introduced Larry and me.
I discovered that the Lord had a specific message he wanted to give this group of Ugandans through my testimony. The Lord also wanted to heal some of them. We do have an enemy. He will try to strike us in areas of our lives to cut-off faith in the very areas that the Lord wants to use us.
Larry pointed-out a specific young woman from this group and cast a spirit of fear out of her. When he did this, she suddenly fell like a jelly-fish to the ground. Later, she told Larry that she knew she was changed – something left her. Praise God!
On Wednesday Larry ministered to a group of young people from a Bible College and exhorted them with some very sound and relevant truths. We pray that this group of future ministers receive what was spoken to them. Cliff preached again at Evangel.
In the afternoon I shared with the church that ATK has recently built in a Muslim village in Nawesega (the location of the orphanage). I tried to convey the message that true prosperity has absolutely nothing to do with becoming affluent like the Americans.
Prosperity is having what you need to accomplish the tasks that God gives you, and having peace and joy when you lay your head to rest at night. Cliff had Larry preach in the evening and I was told that the people were touched tremendously.
I was not able to attend because one of the ATK ministers, Madiina, had to take her daughter, Sondra, to a clinic to find out why she has been so ill. We are told that Sondra may have malaria. We have all been praying for Sondra. The manifestation of her healing has not come yet.
So, I ask that all who read this message pray for little Sondra. Also, please pray for the entire ATK team. They work so hard. They need the Lord’s equipping power and grace.
