ATK Ministry Overview

MINISTRY PROGRAMS OF ADVANCING THE KINGDOM MINISTRIES

Kitale, Kenya

50 Days To Pentecost Conference and Revival Meetings

ATK conducted a 7 week conference beginning in the month of April and ending on Pentecost Sunday in May of 2007. This was a Six Day per week conference beginning at 10 am and ending around 7 pm each day, preaching 2-3 times per day. Intense worship and powerful prayer ministry accompanied the Kingdom of God message that Jesus Christ taught.

Crusades and Ministry to Islamic Village Nawansega

With 10 Ugandans and 12 Kenyans, we entered a 100% Islamic village to conduct three weeks of nightly crusades and a variety of daytime outreach ministry. This village has no running water and no electricity. There has never been in church in this village nor the surrounding villages.

The Sheik or leader of the mosque said to me on our first day: Many people have come to this village to preach from your bible, you do not see a church here do you? Today, there is a powerful church making a difference in that village.

We believe there were over 1200 salvations through our crusades and so many people were healed of Spiritual, Mental, Emotional and Physical problems as continues today.

Church and Childrens Home in Nawansega, Uganda

After three weeks of crusades, several of our team came to me to ask if we would begin a church there. They believed God was saying they should remain behind and work in that village. Immediately, the church began to attract 90-120 adults each Sunday as well of 50-80 children. We are now in the process of constructing a church building.

Additionally, we have begun the ATK Childrens Home, currently with 14 children and to expand to 24 children by February of 2008. We have purchased property and constructed two buildings to serve the staff and the children in Nawansega. See the enclosed photos and biographical backgrounds of these children.

Orphan Support, Uganda & Kenya

In addition to the ATK Childrens Home in Nawansega, we are supporting 4 orphans in Kitale, Kenya as part of the ministry of Pastor Richard Makana, also 3 children at Tumaini Childrens Home, ministry of Pastor Nicholas Ongamo. We support the three orphan children of Florence Katishivu, whose husband died in March of 2007 and Aisha, whose mother died in May of 2006. We pay the school fees of three older orphans, aged 16-18 in order that they might finish their schooling.

ATK Bible Colleges

Jinja, Uganda, Pastor Simon Toli

This school began in June of 2005 as an official extension campus of Faith Bible College in Independence, Missouri. There were 18 students who have now completed their two year certificate in biblical studies this year. There were over 50 students receiving certificates of completion.

Kitale, Kenya, Pastor Rajab Wetaka

This Bible College was begun as an answer to the prayer of continued ministry in Kitale, Kenya. After the 50 Days to Pentecost Conference, these 25 students who continued to meet for discipleship training. Many of these young people traveled to Nawansega, Uganda to participate in the growing ministry there. When they returned, there was a need to bring some legitimacy to their citywide ministry. Many were being healed from Spiritual, Emotional, Mental and Physical problems throughout the city in the hospitals and in the schools. .

Begun in October of 2007 with 25 students, this school is having a citywide impact as the students go into the hospital each week and God continues to do mighty miracles in answer to the prayers of the students. There are several weekly reports attached to this report.

Vocational Training, Tailoring

Buwenge Miracle Centre, Buwenge Uganda

20 women, several from Islamic backgrounds are enrolled in a vocational training program in tailoring. Our friend Ray Muckala (St. Paul, Minnesota) and Barbara Gharity from California have partnered with Advancing The Kingdom and Buwenge Miracle Centre to train single women for the tailoring profession.

There have been six sewing machines purchased and a trainer hired (Rehema). Sometime within the next year, clothing and handbags will be produced and sold in clothing stores in Jinja and other surrounding communities.

The object of the program is to become self sustaining, both for the single women and for the project after a period of 3 years.
